This little girl likes to twirl her hair. She likes to twirl her hair so much that she gives herself big kick ass matts, 'dreads' if you will. 'Dreads' that eventually need cut out due to their very effective food storing skills. The other day I noticed she was twirling her hair with a good deal of frustration. When I looked closer I discovered she'd got her finger tightly bound in her hair and it was cutting off the circulation to her finger tip!! Mama came to the rescue.
Still there is nothing more beautiful than tucking her in at night, passing her her teddy (which she snuggles tightly with a little squeal of glee) and then the finger goes automatically to the little wisp of hair behind her ear as her eyes start to float back in her head.

So cute! And I love her sheet by the way. My little Muffin rubs her feet together (we call it twitterpaiting) until she's asleep. They are so cute at that age!
So cute!!
Just happened upon your blog...I'm heartbroken for you even though I don't know the details, but I also admire your courage...
Stop by my blog if you get a chance...it might give you hope for the future...
It does get better! You will survive!
BTW...your daughter is absolutely adorable.
Ack! This is achingly adorable. I can hardly stand it.
my son has a bear (osky) who looks like he has mange (practically no fur left in whole sections). his sweater is in tatters and his face is a matted mess (he used to suck on his nose when he was little)... the sweetest thing is when he falls asleep - he twists the thready shreds of the sweater around his fingers (twist, untwist, twist, untwist) he also rubs his fingers across the spot where osky's nose used to be. it's smooth like satin from years of his fingers lightly sweeping back and forth. these are the little things that make being a mommy so sweet :-)
My youngest used to do that. I miss those days sometimes....(she's 5 now)
lol, Im 26 and still do this, I have my hair coiled over my shoulder as Im writing this :). Love to you
My childhood best friend has always done this, still does. And her daughter (now age 6) has always done it too. Soooooo cute! Dreads or no.
