High Fidelity

This is my favorite movie of all time. There ya go, I said it out loud, I am committed to a life long relationship with it now. I could never grow tired of High Fidelity, I must have seen it over 30 times and every time I find something new in it. It is my no.1. movie to introduce to friends. Last night we introduced it two of our friends In their cozy wood stove warm basement. This time I became particularly entranced by Rob's (John Cusack) apartment. I love it.

Ok I shall close with simply saying: Watch this movie, but don't just watch it once, watch it again and again, rewind and re-watch if you think you missed a joke. And let yourself cry at the closing song. Surrender yourself and enjoy.

Robs opening line in the movie:
"What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?"

Oh and read the book too.

Watch "In America", the story of a young couple and their two daughters immigrating to the United States. It's by the same director did In the Name of the Father. Yes, the cast and all are Irish.

Next. DDL. In ANYTHING.
